Casual Luxe

Today's OOTD was based on these heels. Simple and comfy yet makes a major statement!

I am in the process of updating my wardrobe and have purchased quite a few summer items that  I am excited about showcasing in upcoming posts. These shoes are my most recent purchase. They are by Aldo Shoes in the style " Valleroy" and I purchased them from heels.com. I was determined to wear them right away for fear of me never actually wearing them. That seems to be the destiny of all the heels i've purchased for the past year or so, accumulating dust. I knew i wanted to be dressed comfortably since I'm usually more of a sneaker girl. This oversized T-shirt fit the bill. Add a statement necklace and a red lip and dazzit!

*disclaimer: I usually wear a size 8, 7.5 if their open shoes but with this pair i bought a size 7 since the half size was too loose. This pair fits a bit tight but since i bought it in black last year i know for a fact it will be even more comfy after a few wears

K.I.S.S. on a Sunday

Been in a style rut lately and feeling a bit uninspired. However, the weather in New York decided to cooperate this past weekend and I couldn't let it go to waste! The easiest ensemble for me to put together always involves a Skater skirt! It accentuates my waist and the widened hemline helps to balance out my full bust! Mine is from H&M and i got it a couple seasons ago. Similar styles here and here.

I've been keeping a style watch on the Fringe trend and was happy to finally get in on the fun with this shoulder bag from H&M! I paired it with my Bridget Sandal, by Michael Kors I got a couple years ago, and threw on a staple Denim jacket. My Kate Spade phone case and Kat Von D lippy were the perfect details to tie the look together! Cute and simple!

What’s your go to look when you can’t manage to come up with anything new?
